The City of Nostradamus
Salon-de-Provence (7 km / 10 minutes) houses the Maison de Nostradamus, a museum which describes the life and work of this great scientist, humanist and philosopher.

The Musée Grévin de la Provence which portrays the history and the legends of Provence. Aix-en-Provence (27 km / half an hour) with its Cours Mirabeau onto which spill a myriad of cafés and restaurants, its pedestrian streets and a hundred fountains, its beautiful Cathedral and cloister. It is a university town where countless young people live side by side with happy retirees. And in the horizon, where the sun rises, you can see SainteVictoire, the mountain immortalized by Cézanne.
The back country roads will take you to the village of Baux de Provence (46 km / around 38 minutes) which dominates the range of the Alpilles, and from there in a few minutes down to Saint-Rémy de Provence.
Avignon - The City of the Popes
Avignon (63 km / 49 minutes) invites you to "dance on its bridge" (as in the well-known French song...), discover its architectural splendors and enjoy its famous Theater Festival in July.
The Arena of Arles
In Arles (48 km / 35 minutes), the Roman arena is still used today for celebrated bull fights. You will want to wander along its picturesque streets, sit at a terrace on one of its lovely squares, see a photo exhibition or hop into one of its art museums.
The Espace Van Gogh is a haven of quietude in the middle of the city.

The Camargue
Take the direction of Arles and then Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (84 km / 1 hour), where pilgrims gather every year to pray to Sarah, the black Virgin, at Notre Damede la Mer. Not far from there is the Etang de Vaccarès, a nature reserve, where you will be able to watch not only pink flamingoes, but also various migratory birds depending on the season.

If you go towards Marseille, you have to stop at Carry-le-Rouet, on the sea side. The village of Fernandel, famous French comic actor, is worth a visit...
There, the coast is splendid and the whole family can safety stroll along designated paths.
You can also admire the Mediterranean from an urban setting, with Marseille (54 km / about 37 minutes), its Vieux Port (Old Harbour) and the Canebière, where the Fish Market is held every day
